Snorkeling di Pantai Kiaru, Kuala Penyu

Snorkeling di Pantai Kiaru, Kuala Penyu

hi there, antara tempat lepak kegemaran mrs pip dan famili memang tak lain tak bukan, mestilah melepak di tepi pantai ... we are beach lovers gitu ... jadi, setiap kali ada kelapangan, mesti bawa lil' armies bermain di tepi pantai, lagi lagi tempat tinggal mrs pip ni, bukannya jauh dari laut pun ... cumanya, janganlah expect dapat pantai cantik molek yang sudah dibangunkan , di sini memang a BIG NO ... tapi, walau sekadar cuma ada pantai dan laut, tanpa infrastruktur awam yang wajib seperti tandas awam , still rasa syukur coz masih boleh mandi manda di tepian laut :)) ...

Snorkeling di Pantai Kiaru, Kuala Penyu
kebetulan pula Mothers' Day hari tu 12/5/18

ceritanya hari tu ialah Mother's Day, so mr.Husband ajak mrs pip jalan jalan kluar ambil angin bawa anak anak ... takkan mommy preggy asyik nak lepak di rumah tak kluar ambil angin segar ... hiks, ingatkan nak kluar makan makan sambut Mother's Day, rupa2nya mr.Husband mau pigi snorkeling di laut ... memandangkan lil' armies ni pantang kau ajak pigi pantai, laju betul response dorang bila bab main dan mandi laut ...

Snorkeling di Pantai Kiaru, Kuala Penyu
Daddy siap snorkeling lepas tinggalkan kitorang selama 2 jam!

mula mula acah acah takut nak mandi laut

mrs pip tak snorkeling, cuma mr.Husband ja yang snorkeling ... kalau kitorang berdua snorkeling, siapa nak jaga lil' armies pula? ... tell you what, 2 jam mr.Husband snorkeling berpoya poya tengok corals dan ikan yang cantik cantik kat dasar laut! huh, jeles I ... mrs pip pun nak snorkeling juga!!!!

time mr.Husband snorkeling, lil' armies cuma main pasir saja lah, budak2 ni tak berani nak mandi laut kalau tiada daddy ... mrs pip temankan mandi setakat kat gigi air tu pun dorang reject mrs pip ... nampak sangat bab mandi laut, they only trust their daddy ... haha, dorang siap cakap "mommy kan tidak pandai swimming macam daddy" ... eh eleh, ya lah korang tak tau lagi mommy pun kaki snorkeling juga tau ... tunggu korang besar sikit, nanti jangan jeles mommy pigi diving sorang sorang, biar daddy jaga korang pula! ...

Snorkeling di Pantai Kiaru, Kuala Penyu
apalah yang dua beranak ni buat siap angkat2 tong?

hari tu cuaca agak mendung, memang tak panas sangat .. lepas tu laut pun tenang, tak berombak mana pun ... nak mandi laut tak berombak ni memang best ... kebetulan air nak surut , so mmg sesuai lah untuk anak2 mandi, kalau air pasang memang risau juga nak bagi anak mandi air laut ...

ekceli, boleh ja mrs pip dan mr.Husband ganti2 snorkeling take turn jaga lil' armies, tapi mr.Husband mmg tak bagi mrs pip snorkeling coz risau nanti kena sengat dengan jellyfish ... time kitorang pergi tu mmg musim jellyfish , so mmg kena hati hati la kan ..sengatan jellyfish ni sakit dan bisa juga tau ...

kalau nak kurangkan bisa kena jellyfish tu, cepat cepat perah air limau kat tempat yang kena sengat ... ada juga yg bgtau, better letak cuka tempat yg kena sengat ni ... korang pernah kena sengat jellyfish tak?

balik petang tu, mr.Husband belanja kitorang makan aiskrim ... kata mr.Husband, aiskrim tu sempena Mother's Day untuk mrs pip ... alaaa, tak celebrate pun tak pa la, mrs pip bukan jenis nak celebrate semua 'Day' pun ... tapi bila mr.Husband dah belanja aiskrim container besar tu, takkan nak tolak pula kan ... so kita empat beranak makan habiskan aiskrim secontainer tu ...

insya allah kitorang datang lepak lagi kat Pantai Kiaru ni, tapi nextime nak bawa extra clothes untuk mrs pip , kot2 erjebak nak mandi laut juga kan ...

cheers.

Pesta Bakanjar in Kuala Penyu (Part 2); strolling around the handicraft stalls

Pesta Bakanjar in Kuala Penyu (Part 2); strolling around the handicraft stalls

hi there,

this is PART 2 of Pesta Bakanjar.

previously in PART 1, CLICK HERE

we didn't wait to watch all the performances because my hati dan perasaan really wanna strolling around the handicraft stalls ... what la ! as if like I have no idea what's inside the stalls ... muehehe.

there were few local handicraft stalls, 5 or 6 stalls if not mistaken, and each stall selling different items ... let me belanja you all what's inside the stall ... jalan jalan cuci mata :))

they have so many kind of these rattan basket
I already have one, bought few years ago in Kota Marudu,
more or less the same but the basket in the photo a big bigger than mine.

few more handicraft bag, with lots of colors and design
I didn't buy any since I received one from my GF last year,
almost the same design, GF bought when she visited Vietnam if not mistaken.

save another ringgit, phew!

do love beads? it's colorful.
a lot of choices here, but not so me wearing all those kind of beads.

let's jump to another stall.

this stall making the traditional clothes. these clothes often used for wedding or during traditional performance, etc
I didn't dare to ask the price, guessing it must be quite costly since it's 'almost 100% handmade',
since all the beads sewn one by one manually.

if you have kids, can bring them here for batik coloring

many selection of batik coloring, just choose which one do you like :))

another traditional wear with very traditional pattern

yours truly
I was waiting my turn to buy from this one stall selling beautiful
small little kitten crafted using wood

and finally, managed to bring back these 3 little kittens ...

RM10 , 3 biji ...

and this is the last stall we went, it sells keropok ikan ...
we bought one big packet ...
harga RM9.00

this one big packet kan, mrs pip sudah goreng,
serius sedap!

posing in front the stall :))

after strolling around the stalls, we continue jalan jalan lagi around the areas and continue watching the performances ...

enjoy!

end of part 2.

stay tune for part 3.

cheers.

Pesta Bakanjar in Kuala Penyu (Part 1) ; learning about other Malaysian ethnics' cultures

Pesta Bakanjar in Kuala Penyu (Part 1) ; learning about other Malaysian ethnics' cultures

hi there,

what a late entry!

on 25th Feb last month, we went to see the PESTA BAKANJAR held in Kuala Penyu. from what mr.Husband told me, the pesta is all about showing the various cultures of Tatana people, one of ethnic in Sabah.

and this is the 4th year they are celebrating this PESTA BAKANJAR or known as ODOU BAKANJAR among the local people here.

this is our very 1st time attending this pesta. they have many activities carried out during the 1 day pesta, but in my opinion, the main event of this pesta is the cultural performance competition by seven group from seven different villages.

it's great to watch all these local culture performances to widen my knowledge about local culture and social life, and it's very seldom to see these young generation to wear their traditional clothes except when there is any cultural performance or wedding.

whenever you brought your kids out on sunny hot weather, make sure to make them stay hydrated!

when we reached Kuala Penyu town, we parked the car at kedai papan, the other side where the pesta was being held and get the kids in their stroller. I couldn't imagined life without stroller whenever we brought the kids out. thanks for whoever invented the stroller!

few stalls selling food and drinks nearby the tapak pesta, and the weather was quite hot that day.

when we reached the tapak pesta, the 2nd group is ready to perform. we missed the 1st performance.

yours truly and her 3 men

and lil' armies were stunned watching the show
