10 weeks of pregnancy and I have SPOTTING

hi there,

dah masuk 10 minggu mengandung, so far so good, alahan tak da , makan pun boleh saja makan apa saja except yang pedas2 tu mmg mrs pip berpantang buat sementara waktu.

10 weeks pregnancy mengikut kiraan staff nurse, tapi tidak bagi mrs pip ... mereka memgira mengikut tarikh terakhir datang haid, tapi mrs pip mengira mengikut tarikh pengesahan positif ujian air kencing ...

anyhow, mrs pip mengalami 'spotting' semalam. mula2 tu memang risau then mrs pip google and tengok kalau spotting ni masalah besar utk ibu hamil atau tak, and sedikit lega bila tahu spotting ni ialah simptom biasa untuk ibu hamil, tidak memudaratkan melainkan ianya bleeding dan pantiliner fully soaked, yang tu harus jumpa doktor cepat untuk pemeriksaan lanjut.

Spotting is a common concern that many pregnant women face.  Approximately 20% of women report they experience spotting during their first 12 weeks of pregnancy. Bleeding that occurs early on in pregnancy is usually lighter in flow than a menstrual period. Also, the color often varies from red to brown.
Although it is easy to be concerned, don’t panic. The majority of women who experiencing spotting during pregnancy go on to have a healthy pregnancy and baby.

dan apa yang sebenarnya menyebabkan spotting ni .... perlu juga untuk ibu2 hamil di awal trimester ni mcm mrs pip ambil tahu kan ...

Implantation bleeding is a common cause of spotting early on in pregnancy. Implantation bleeding happens when the fertilized egg attaches to the uterine lining.  This can trigger a few days of bleeding. This spotting often occurs before a woman even knows she is pregnant and is often mistaken as a pending period.
Another common cause of spotting is a cervical polyp (a harmless growth on the cervix), which is more likely to bleed during pregnancy due to higher estrogen levels. This may occur because there are an increased number of blood vessels in the tissue around the cervix during pregnancy.  As a result, contact with this area (through sexual intercourse or a gynecological exam, for example) can cause bleeding.
Dah ada spotting ni, walaupun bukannya sesuatu yg harus terlalu dirisaukan, tapi still kesihatan kena jaga dan jangan overworked ....

To help manage your spotting during pregnancy and to increase the probability of continuing with a healthy pregnancy, your healthcare provider may encourage you to do the following:
  • Bed rest or more naps
  • More time off your feet
  • Limit your physical activity
  • Elevate your feet when possible
  • Avoid lifting items over 10 pounds
and sejak kebelakangan ni, mrs pip asyik nak tidur saja, memang I is ratu tidur, and lucky mr.Husband memahami sangat, bukan setakat memahami, malah mr.Husband akan pastikan mrs pip tidur dengan cukup, siang n malam n tak perlu risau2 nak buat kerja rumah sangat.

thanks to mr.Husband yang banyak sgt membantu jaga anak2, layan karenah anak2, siapkan makan minum n siap tolong mrs pip bakar biskut raya, muehehe.

doakan yang baik baik untuk mrs pip ya.

cheers.
